Lehighton and Palmerton pulled big upsets to highlight Tuesday's District 11 playoff action.

In Class AAA baseball, No. 8 seed Lehighton stunned No. 1 seed Northwestern, 8-3, and No. 7 seed Palmerton edged No. 2 seed Allentown Central Catholic, 1-0.In another AAA baseball game, No. 3 seed Tamaqua outlasted No. 6 Pottsville, 8-6.In softball action, Northern Lehigh beat Schuylkill Haven, 6-4, in an opening round Class AA game. The No. 8 seed Bulldogs will advance to the quarterfinal round where they'll play top-seeded Catasauqua on Thursday.
