Three Times News area teams will be back in PIAA state playoff competition this weekend.

The Marian volleyball team will square off with Blue Ridge at Hazleton on Saturday at 11 a.m in the class 1A quarterfinals.On Saturday, Lehighton's field hockey team will battle Lake Lehman at Central Columbia on Saturday at noon in the class 1A quarterfinals.Also in action on Saturday will be the Northwestern boys soccer team. The Tigers have a date with Daniel Boone in the 3A quarterfinals at 11 a.m. at Hamburg High School.
