The Weatherly boys basketball team earned a spot in the final of the CMVT Tournament and their first win of the season in overtime Wednesday.

Kennedy pinned his first two opponents to advance to today's semifinals.Tanner Kennedy earned an 11-2 major decision in his first bout before dropping a quarterfinal bout 9-8 to the No. 2 seed at 152. He will continue in the consolation bracket today.Justin Rodriguez (220) pinned his first-round opponent before falling in the quarterfinal round.Tyler Baez (195) won a preliminary match before falling to the top seed in his weight class.Several other Panthers who dropped their first-round matches head into today hoping to wrestle back in the consolation bracket, including Aaron Eidem (285), Derrick Beckham (170), Kyle Rusnak (132), Colby Newton (126), Brandon Myers (120) and Louden Breiner (106).
