January 26, 1995 - The Tamaqua girls swim team captures the Schuylkill League championship after posting a 114-72 victory over North Schuylkill. Nicci Schock remains undefeated in diving and also wins the 100 butterfly. The Blue Raiders, who are 5-0 in league action, receive multiple-firsts from Sarah Stival (200 and 500 free) and Stephanie Lisella (200 IM, 100 free). Others to win events include Theresa Ferry (50 free) and Sara Faust (100 breaststroke). The Tamaqua boys, led by Eric Lech's wins in the 200 IM and 100 free, complete the sweep with a 140-56 victory.
