The Lehighton Tractor Supply Company is welcoming all leashed, friendly animals to visit the store this week during Pet Appreciation Week.

The event kicks off with a pet supply drive to support local pet and animal groups that partner with the store. From Wednesday through Saturday customers can drop off new, sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies and other essential pet accessories such as beds, scratching posts, leashes and bowls to be donated to local rescues and shelters.On Saturday, the store will feature pet adoptions, demonstrations on pet nutrition and a free Greenies dental dog treat while supplies last. The event will also include:• Pocono Greyhound Adoption, on site from noon to 4 p.m.• Carbon County Friends of Animals, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.• Feline Finish Line, from noon to 4 p.m.
