Lehigh Carbon Community College’s SHINE Afterschool Program will travel full “STEAM” ahead during its 18th annual Lights On Afterschool program.

The event will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday in the Jim Thorpe Area High School auditorium. It will showcase activities that students have been working on in the program.

The SHINE program is a nationally recognized afterschool program that serves students from five school districts in Carbon and Schuylkill counties. Emphasis is on teaching children in science, technology, engineering, art and math.
