July 13, 1970 - Richie Davidyock, who was Panther Valley's head football coach during the school's jointure inception in 1964, is once again named head coach at the PV school board. Davidyock is voted in on a 6-3 vote and will receive a salary of $1,200. He replaces James Steber, who leaves for the same position at Salisbury. Davidyock will guide the Panthers to a 5-5-1 record in 1970 and will coach for three more years, posting a mark of 22-8 over that span.
