Special teams is often times an overlooked aspect in the game of football. The Jim Thorpe Olympians football team have been good on offense this season, even better on defense, and on Friday night against Shenandoah Valley they showed special teams could be their secret weapon.
On the opening kickoff of the game the Olympians showed why when Jarrin Geisinger took the Devils kick 77 yards to the end zone. Geisinger set the tone for a first half to remember for Thorpe as they rolled to a 49-0 victory.
