Avon fundraiser helps make a child's wish come true

District 2879 Avon Products, managed by Rose Reese, along with representatives from District 2888 worked together selling "Bentley the Bear" to raise monies for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The funds were raised for the Greater Northeast Chapter of the Foundation which serves Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia.The Avon Products independent sales representatives raised a total of $1,735 to help make a child's wish come true.A check in that amount was presented to Make-A-Wish volunteer Danielle Argot at the District 2879 sales meeting which was held last week at the Polk Township Fire Co. in Kresgeville.The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions.Eligible children can wish for anything from a Caribbean cruise to being a superhero for a day.On May 14th, the Foundation will conduct a "Wish Upon A Star Dinner Dance" at the Stroudsmoor Inn.
