A Schuylkill County fire company was burglarized.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said unknown persons broke into the Goodwill Fire Company, 34 Sillyman St., Cressona, by breaking open a side door. Once inside they took about $200 from the snack bar area and another $645 from a safe located inside the fire company. The incident occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and 8 a.m. on Thursday.Troopers are also investigating an act of criminal mischief at the home of Jamie Nagle, 32, of 127 W. Main St., Tremont. Unknown persons spray painted a derogatory word on the garage door located at the rear of the residence. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
