Tamaqua and Panther Valley both posted non-league wins in girls basketball action on Wednesday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Tamaqua-Moravian A.
Emma Kuczynski recorded a double-double to help Tamaqua earn a 64-55 non-league victory over Moravian Academy.
Kuczynski finished with a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Blue Raiders (14-4). Baylee Reinhardt scored a career-high 16 points, including six during the pivotal fourth quarter, while Bek Hromyak added 10.
For the Lions (14-6), Marina Falzone scored a game-high 23 points.
In the JV contest, Tamaqua rolled to a 73-39 win to improve to 13-2.

Panther Valley jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 57-23 non-league victory over Lincoln Leadership Academy.
Erika Dubosky and Sera Robin both scored seven points in the first quarter as the Panthers (5-14) built a 21-3 advantage.
Dubosky finished with a game-high 19 points, while Robin added 18.

Nazareth built an early sizable lead and then held on to post a 51-40 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over Pleasant Valley.
The Eagles (17-2) jumped out to a 21-10 start behind 11 points from Madeline Ahearn. Talya Brugler finished with a game-high 25 points, while Ahearn ended with 13.
Alyssa Wagner scored 15 points, including four three-pointers, to pace the Bears (13-7).

Northwest outscored Weatherly in each period to soundly defeat the Wreckers, 65-38, in a non-league matchup.
Leading the winners, who hit 11 three-pointers in the game, was Walker Yaple, who finished with a game-high 24 points.
Scotty Zoscin paced Weatherly (8-10) with a team-high 20 points.

Trent Federico scored all seven of his points in the opening quarter as the Blue Eagles (9-11) raced to a 19-2 lead. Teammate Zach Umar finished with a game-high 21 points.
The Bears (7-13) received a team-high nine points from Marcus Arce.

Steve Hoffman scored a team-high 17 points for the Blue Raiders, while Cam Lewis finished with 16.
