No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:05 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, along SR895, a 100 yards west of Hawk Mountain Road, East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Carrol A. Anstett, 63, of Wilkes-Barre, was driving a 2008 Toyota eastbound when the car went onto the right berm and struck a guard rail. After impact the car continued for 90 feet and then struck a tree head-on.Troopers said Anstett became distracted when looking into the back seat to check on a 5-year-old granddaughter.
