The Birches dropped a 10-4 Northampton County Legion contest to Nazareth on Thursday.

Brent Beck hit a home run during a four-run third inning as the Birches grabbed a 4-1 lead, but Nazareth tallied nine unanswered runs to pull out the victory.

Beck knocked in two runs, while Matt Ortiz added a double and RBI in the losing effort.

Cade Stoneback struck out six in earning the pitching win, while Steve Sassolla and Ben Suter each had two RBIs for the winners.
