A woman biker was injured Saturday morning when involved in a crash along Route 895 in East Brunswick township.

The incident occurred just after 10 a.m. as a male biker and female companion were traveling west entering the intersection with Hawk Mountain Road.

Traffic westbound was already stopped for several other bikers attempting to make a left turn onto Hawk Mountain Road. The westbound couple were unable to stop laying their motorcycle down on the roadway. The woman was thrown off the bike.

She was treated at the scene by members of the New Ringgold ambulance before being transported to the Coaldale hospital trauma center.

The Community Fir eCompany of New Ringgold and Orwigsburg rescue responded to the scene. State police are investigating the incident.
