Agnes Josephine Kopec, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, celebrated her 91st birthday on July 18.

Born in Harwood in 1919, Agnes also resided in Treskow, Hazleton, and West Hazleton over the years. She worked as an examiner in the garment industry. She married Peter Kopec on Nov. 1, 1944 and they were married until he passed away in 1977.Agnes' passions are bowling, cooking, baking, shopping, and being involved in church activities. She is a member of Transfiguration Church in West Hazleton.Over the years she traveled to Canada, Seattle, Florida, and enjoyed summers at the Jersey shore.
