Walk for life

Care Net of Tamaqua, an organization providing services to pregnant women, plans to open an office in Tamaqua, at 223 E. Broad St.The center will provide life-affirming guidance, counseling, prenatal classes, parenting classes and much more to area women and families.The organization will sponsor a Walk For Life on April 2, beginning at 1 p.m.The route will begin at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, then head west on Broad Street to Odd Fellows Cemetery.Participants will then head east on Broad Street to to the Stone Gardens area before returning to the church.For more information, or a sponsorship package, call (570) 668-4059.Class of 1976The Tamaqua Area High School Class of 1976 will meet Sunday, March 6, at 7 p.m., at the home of Sandy Roberts Kleckner. All class members are welcome to attend.First MethodistThe Rev. James Cavalerro will officiate at two worship services Sunday: 9:30 a.m. at Salem United Methodist, and 10:45 a.m. at First United Methodist Church.
