State police at Frackville report on incidents
State police at Frackville reported on incidents reported by troopers.
• On Feb. 19 at 11:35 a.m. troopers were dispatched to Klim Avenue, in New Philadelphia, Schuylkill County, for a domestic incident. The victim, a 32-year-old woman from Minersville, reported that she and her boyfriend, Sean Sullivan, 36, of New Philadelphia, got into a fight and he punched her in the face and threw her to the ground.
Sullivan was apprehended nearby and taken into custody. He was arraigned before a district judge on charges of simple assault and related counts. He was unable to post bail and was committed to the county prison in Pottsville.
• Troopers said Tomasso Dino, 21, of Cressona, arrived at a residence along Sunbury Street in Cass Township, at 9 a.m. Feb. 19 in a agitated state, possibly under the influence of alcohol. Police said Dino wielded brass knuckles and a butcher knife, pointing and poking the knife at the chest of a 59-year-old man at the residence.
Dino has been charged with terroristic threats and related counts. He was initially committed to the county prison but has since been released on bail.
• A 46-year-old Shenandoah man is facing drug possession charges filed against him by state police.
Police said they saw the man and knew there was an active warrant out against him. After taking him into custody police learned he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The incident happened on West Oak Street in Frackville at 1 p.m. Feb. 19. His name was not released.
• Police said an electrical meter was reported stolen about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 23 from a utility truck that was parked along Route 751 in Blythe Township. The purple meter is used for monitoring electrical service, and has the word “Viavi” printed on top of it.

• A criminal mischief incident that happened between 9 p.m. Feb. 22 and 2:30 a.m. Feb. 23 on North Maple Road in Cass Township is being investigated by state police at the Frackville barracks.
Police said the complainant reported damage to a metal gate owned by the township.
• Police were summoned to Low Road in Cass Township for an incident that took place between 6 p.m. Feb. 22 and 10:24 a.m. Feb. 23 when the trunk of a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt that was parked in a driveway of a home was vandalized.
• Police also reported damages are estimated at $300 after a criminal mischief incident that was reported to them at 11:29 p.m. Feb. 22.
A 37-year-old man from Pottsville, who reported someone kicked at the front door of a residence on High Road in Cass Township, damaging the door frame.
• Police are investigating a theft reported at 11 p.m. Feb. 10 in the 100 block of North Jardin Street. Police said a blue passport book containing two passports valued at $340 was stolen from the victims’ 2011 Chrysler. Also taken were a Social Security card and a green card.
