Broad Mountain Power LLC is holding an open house regarding a proposed approximately 2.6-mile 69 kilovolt transmission line that will connect the proposed Broad Mountain Wind Farm in Packer Township to PPL Electric Utilities’ system. The open house is from 6-8 p.m. on June 25 at the Nesquehoning Recreation Center.

Approximately 1.5 miles of the line will be located in Nesquehoning.

This open house will provide information regarding project planning and development activities specific to the transmission line in Nesquehoning. It will not relate to the wind turbines, officials said.

Members of the Broad Mountain team will be there to talk about the progress of the transmission line development.

The recreation center is located at 335 W. Railroad St.
