At today’s meeting of the board of directors of the Mauch Chunk Trust Company, Harold Queen, 1001 Center Ave., was named to the staff at that institution.

A native of this community, he is a son of Catherine Queen and the late Harold Queen, having graduated in 1951 from the Mauch Chunk High School. He has been associated with his mother and his brother, Robert, in conducting the Queen Beverage Company for the past 15 years.

The new banker is married to the former Ida Swartz of Nesquehoning.

He will continue as a consultant with the beverage firm. Robert will assume Harold’s former duties as head of the sales department and Harold’s wife will join the firm as office manager and bookkeeper.
