July 15, 2012 — Casey Rother finishes 4-for-4 and hits one of his team’s four home runs as Tamaqua stays alive in the Section 6 11-12 Little League tournament by outscoring Northwest, 10-7. Rother finishes with two runs scored and two RBIs for the winners, who score in every inning. Ty Kistler connects for a two-run homer, while Ryan Frederickson and Zeke Wassell each hit solo shots. Cody Scherer collects three hits and pitches a scoreless sixth to earn a save. Wassell and Josh Inama end with two hits apiece for Tamaqua, managed by Charlie Kistler.
