A LOOK BACK DECEMBER 23, 1973

A unique counseling service to assist unwed mothers, particularly teenagers, has been added to the Carbon County Children’s Services agency.

Joseph Paluck, director, described the service as a facility to assist each girl with her special problems and help her to choose an alternative which best suits her unique situation.

Paluck said the agency will not only aid the mother, but also provide for her unborn child and its welfare upon birth.

Paluck listed three options to an unwed mother who is not contemplating marriage, including placing the child for adoption, foster care with an opportunity to visit and care for the child or placing the child in a foster home.
