Carbon County is honoring its second graduating class of Veterans Treatment Court this week.
At 6 p.m. on Wednesday, three men will graduate after successfully completing the intensive program. The graduation will take place in courtroom 1 in the Carbon County Courthouse.
Last December, Carbon County honored the first graduating class in a ceremony attended by court and county officials, family members, friends and fellow veterans.
During that graduation, the graduates told their stories of hitting bottom and how the specialty court helped them rebuild.
The Carbon County Veterans Treatment Court has been in operation since January 2017 and is made up of various county agencies that help qualified veterans moving through the court system find help for drug, alcohol or mental health problems while staying out of the prison system.
