November 6, 1965 — Mike Paulas runs for one score and throws for another to help Jim Thorpe gain a 23-0 victory over Frackville. Paulas carries 15 times for 105 yards and reaches the end zone on a 6-yard run in the opening quarter. Later in the game, he hooks up with Ed Jordan on a 20-yard scoring pass. Jordan finishes the contest with 75 yards rushing. The Olympians, coached by Angie Konstas, also receive a 1-yard TD run from Bob Hodor. Paulas also intercepts a pass on defense as Thorpe holds its opponent to just 19 yards of offense.
