Candlelight vigil held in JT Cemetery

In observance of All Saints Day on Sunday and All Souls Day today, a candlelight vigil service for the faithful departed was held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Jim Thorpe on Sunday night with luminaries throughout the cemetery and hand-held candles to remind Christians of the Pascal Candle at Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus which they believe they too will share in. Father Francis Baransky, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, said. "it is also an opportunity for us to reflect on and give thanks for the goodness of our ancestors and all the wonderful things that they did for us in establishing our parish as well as remembering all of our faithful departed loved ones and commending them to God".
