Anyone coming to Jim Thorpe in the next two weeks or so who is planning to park in the county lot behind the train station will have to enter the lot just a few hundred feet farther south of the normal entrance which is now in the process of being torn up and will then be rebuilt. The construction project being done by W. E. Yoder, Inc. Railroad Track Construction, Engineering, Maintenance of Kutztown, has been undertaken in cooperation with the Carbon County Commissioners' Office and the Carbon County Railroad Commission. Access off of Rt 209 will be between Josiah White Park and the Hooven Building and is prominently marked by large signs placed there by the county.
