Jim Thorpe High School senior Lucas Boyle will continue his academic and football careers at Division 3 Alvernia University in Reading.

Boyle was a two-year varsity starter at center for the Olympians. This past season he was named the team’s Offensive Lineman of the Year, and also was named to the Schuylkill County Coaches Association All-Star team.

Boyle also played basketball and baseball at Jim Thorpe. In addition, he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, and SADD.

The son of Ed and Stephanie Boyle, Lucas plans on majoring in physical therapy.
