The Carbon County section of the Anthra-Penn Community Development Corporation was organized during a public hearing held in the courthouse, Jim Thorpe.
Named directors for a two-year term were Geza Holczman, Carbon County register of wills, Joseph E. Sniscak, Nesquehoning mortician, and Charles McFadden, Summit Hill, chairman of the Coaldale State General Hospital Board of Trustees.
The meeting was called by the Carbon County commissioners to encourage development of special programs by which residents of urban and rural low income, high employment may improve the quality of their economic and social life through federal assistance.
