Members of the Operating Committee of the Carbon County Vocational-Technical School in Jim Thorpe, participated in a formal inspection of the recently completed annex to that structure Thursday night.
The new addition and existing facilities will serve 850 students who are enrolled there for the current school year, according to Director George K. Seiler. These include 493 secondary students, 246 in the 18 fall semester courses for the Adult Evening School, 46 under the Job Training Program, and 65 in the ABE/GED grouping.
Seiler said the jobs training program includes courses in business/computer occupations, building construction, geriatric nurses’ aide studies and machinist/machine shop training.
