Dr. Albert H. Vermillion, Summit Hill dentist, last night was named co-chairman of the Carbon County Committee for Human Services, during a meeting in the courthouse in Jim Thorpe.

Vermillion, who also served as treasurer of the county’s redevelopment authority, succeeds Ajax Moody, former superintendent at the Hickory Run State Camp for Boys, who left recently to continue his education toward acquiring a master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania.

Vermillion will serve with James Tule, Carbon County Vocational Technical School administrator.

Present at the meeting was John Thomas, regional representative in the Anti-Poverty Program.
