November 30, 2001 — Brandon Lucien scores a game-high 18 points and pulls down 12 rebounds to help Northern Lehigh open its season with a 53-48 victory over Minersville in the Panther Valley Alumni Association Tip-Off Tournament. The Bulldogs, coached by Rich Oertner, use a 9-2 run at the end of the game to seal the victory. Lucien accounts for five of those points down the stretch. David Heller contributes 16 points to the win, while Brett Evans adds 12. Nolehi will eventually claim the tourney’s title.
