The pairings for the Schuylkill League volleyball tournament were recently announced.

All four first-round matches will be held Monday, Oct. 15.

Division 2 champion Panther Valley (12-1) will open play with a first-round matchup against Division 3 runner-up Millersburg (10-4) at 5:30 p.m. at Lehighton. Jim Thorpe (9-4), the Division 2 runner-up, will face Division 3 champion Halifax (11-3) in its first round game at 5:30 p.m. at Minersville.

Other first round contests feature Pottsville (D1-1, 12-1) taking on Mahanoy Area (D4-2, 13-2), which will be held at Minersville at 6:30 p.m., while Nativity (D4-1, 15-0) will square off against Blue Mountain (D1-2, 11-2) at Lehighton, also at 6:30 p.m..

The semifinals are set for Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Minersville, with times to be determined. The final will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, at Martz Hall at 7 p.m.
