A vehicle stop in Carbon County led to the arrest of the driver on a drug charge.

State police Lehighton said Erik Ryan Boehm, 23, of Lehighton, was stopped about 12:33 p.m. on Canal Street, at Bridge St., in Weissport, on Monday, March 12, for a vehicle code violation.A further investigation led to Boehm being taken into custody for a drug law violation.Troopers said Boehm was also charged with forgery and false identification to law enforcement authorities.Boehm was later transported to the State Correctional Institution at Mahanoy, Schuylkill County, troopers added.
