Power has been restored to almost 1.000 customers on the east side of Jim Thorpe. The power went out as the result of a storm that passed through around 6 p.m. it appeared the problem was at the intersection of North and Fourth streets .

More than 140 PPL customers are still without power as of 12:30 a.m., including 130 in Mahoning Township. 

Trees were reported to be knocked down on Stage Coach Road and Spruce Hollow Road, and on Little Gap Road.
