GLEN MILLS (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a person who they say vandalized a middle school’s athletic fields.
KYW-TV reports the incident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday at Garnet Valley Middle School. Authorities say surveillance video shows a pickup truck “turfing” the middle school grounds.
Superintendent Marc Bertrando says the incident is “frustrating” and called the act of vandalism “senseless.” Officials estimate it will cost $5,000 to fix the grounds.
Police say the school’s athletic fields were also vandalized last year.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police.
