Boyer’s of Tamaqua has recently donated $500 to three local organizations.
The supermarket collects money from motorists who park in their lot during day trips at $1 per day. Passes can be purchased in the store.
The Tamaqua Police used its donation to host this year’s National Night Out in August. National Night Out features a free fun night open to the public and an opportunity to meet local first responders.
The Bethany EC Church of Tamaqua put its funding toward the Restore 2021 program. This year’s program consisted of many volunteers improving the community over the course of an entire week. The team was involved in many construction and restoration projects.
The Tamaqua Community Art Center is partnering with Boyer’s to plan a spring community event. Both groups will plan to take community members and Boyer’s team members to plan. A portion of that donation was used to purchase art supplies for classes.
