October 12, 2001 Earl Kunkel carries 27 times for 153 yards and three touchdowns to help lead Jim Thorpe to a 34-13 victory over North Penn. Kunkel accounts for the Olympians' first three scores which come on runs of 4, 8, and 2 yards as the hosts open a 21-7 lead. Jason Figura, who finishes with 84 yards on the ground, adds a 6-yard tally. Rashim Dickerson, who also recovers a fumble, seals the win with a 34-yard interception return for a TD. Justin Young also comes up with a fumble recovery and interception.
