The Carbon Career & Technical Institute Adult Education Center will offer a free personal and career development program for people in transition, including single parents, pregnant women, homemakers, dislocated workers, and those interested in non-traditional occupations.
The New Choices Career Development program is a five-week series designed for those who are interested in exploring career options, returning to school, looking for a new job or entering the workforce.Participants will identify their strengths, skills, and interests to assist them in selecting a career path. This will be accomplished through individual and group activities, guest speakers, field trips, tours of educational facilities, and a variety of career assessments. Hands-on computer training is available as needed.Classes will begin on Oct. 20 and run through Nov. 19 at PathStone Head Start located at 150 W. Phillips Street in Coaldale.
