A Northampton County man was jailed on a bench warrant over the past weekend.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to Butte Lane, in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County, about 11:25 a.m on Sunday, Oct. 4, to investigate a 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival officers observed Brian Flyte, 30, of Bath. When he saw the officers he ran.Following a short chase Flyte was taken into custody.Flyte had an active bench warrant for his arrest issued out of Monroe County court. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending further court action.
