Chestnut Ridge Seniors

The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will be meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. Join them for hot dogs, ice cream and bingo.Halloween ParadeThe Eldred Township Halloween Parade will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18 (rain date, Oct. 25.) This event is open to Eldred Township and surrounding township residents. Registration deadline is Sunday, Oct. 11. Treats are guaranteed to preregistered applicants only.There will be categories for Most Original, Cutest, Ugliest, Best Pair, Best Group and Best Float. There will be three cash prizes per category. All entrants should be at the St. Matthew's Church grove in Kunkletown between 11 a.m. until noon. Judging will begin at 12:15 p.m. and the parade will begin at 1 p.m.The parade committee wants people to know that because of the growth of the parade, they can no longer take registrations the day of the parade.
