Mrs. Kathleen Jones (center), of 310 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, is the second recipient of the South Ward Neighborhood Committee's Spruce Up Award. Presented by Elm Street Manager Kathy Kunkel and SWNC Chairwoman Louise Howells, the award is designed to recognize residents of the South Ward who take extraordinary pride in their homes and surroundings. The SWNC is a volunteer organization dedicated to making the South Ward Tamaqua's best place to live, play and learn.
