Northwestern soccer teams qualify for Colonial playoffs

Northwestern’s boys soccer team grabbed the top seed for the Colonial League playoffs, which get underway Monday.

The Tigers will face No. 4 seed Southern Lehigh at 7 p.m. at Salisbury in the semifinals of the boys tournament. The other semifinal features No. 2 seed Saucon Valley taking on third-seed Moravian Academy.

The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. at a site to be determined.

Northwestern is seeded second in the girls soccer tournament, which begins Tuesday, Oct. 16. The Tigers will play No. 3 seed Palisades at 5 p.m. at Salisbury.

The other semifinal is top seed Saucon Valley facing No. 4 seed Southern Lehigh. The championship game is set for Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at a site to be determined.

Northern Lehigh and Wilson have the potential to earn the fourth seed in the field hockey tournament, which will get underway Tuesday, Oct. 16. The top three seeds are set - Bangor, Moravian Academy and Southern Lehigh. The Bulldogs will be the No. 4 seed depending on the outcome of Friday’s game between Moravian and Wilson.

The championship game will be held Thursday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. at a site to be determined.
