Carbon County court conducted parole/probation revocation hearings on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who have violated the terms of their release.

Jacob Goralewski

, 22, of Weatherly, had his parole revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by not having a stable residence, arrested by McAdoo police, arrested by Kline Township police, admitted smoking marijuana, failed to submit to urine screens, not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, failing to comply with mental health treatment, failing to complete 75 hours of community service and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.

Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced him to serve six months back time in the county prison effective Feb. 28.

Dakota Klynowski

, 23, of Weatherly, had her parole revoked on a drug charge on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs and failing to complete drug treatment.

Matika resentenced her to serve three months back time effective June 1 at 9 a.m. However, if she completes the drug treatment program and pays $3,027.83 of her court costs by that date, the order will be vacated.

Kelly Smith

, 46, of Nesquehoning, had her sentences in two cases, one probation and one parole, revoked on charges of resisting arrest and a drug count on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by Nesquehoning police, testing positive twice for illegal substances, admitted using methamphetamine and violating zero tolerance.

Matika resentenced her on the resisting charge to serve six to 12 months in prison effective Oct. 23, 2018, and serve out her maximum on the drug count, which finished on Feb. 15.

Terry Phillips

, 44, of Nesquehoning, had his probation revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by Nesquehoning police, not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, failing to complete an anger management course and failing to complete 150 hours of community service.

Matika resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in prison effective Sept. 26, 2018.

Leonard Rehatchek III

, 30, of Nesquehoning, had his probation revoked on a charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by admitted use of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, engaging in overt behavior by jumping through a closed window on the second floor of his residence on June 22 and violating zero tolerance.

Matika resentenced him to serve three to 12 months in prison effective Feb. 28.

Matthew Petko

, 43, of Weatherly, had his probation revoked on a drug charge on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.

Matika resentenced him to serve three to six months in prison effective June 1 at 9 a.m. However, if he completes the community service and pays $600 on his court costs by that date, the order will be vacated.

Christian Reinmiller

, 22, of White Haven, had his placement in the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program revoked on petition of Bettine on charges of DUI and a drug count for violating conditions by not completing a drug-treatment program and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.

Matika deferred the revocation to June 1. However, if he completes the drug treatment program and the 50 hours of community service by that date, the order will be vacated.
