Becky Horn gives the Tigers, coached by Kelly Kane, an early lead with a goal seven minutes into the contest. Brinley Geiger assists on the opening tally. Alison Hayden accounts for the second Northwestern score, gaining possession after a scramble in front and then beating the goalie. The winners, who had only posted three wins the year before, also receive an insurance goal from Kara White off an assist from Tory Sukanick.
