Schuylkill County court — probation

Schuylkill County judges have placed on probation 12 people who either have local ties or were charged by local police. In addition to any punishments, the defendants also must pay court costs and fees.

Sharod D. Parker

, 32, of Scranton, was charged by McAdoo police with three counts each of theft from a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking-movable property, receiving stolen property, criminal attempt — theft from a motor vehicle, and one count of loitering and prowling at night time on Feb. 9, 2017.

President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced him to 23 months on probation on the theft from a motor vehicle and theft by unlawful taking charges. The remaining charges were dropped.

James R. Norwood Jr.

, 43, of Lansford, was charged by Coaldale police with three counts of simple assault and harassment on Nov. 21, 2017.

Judge John P. Goodman sentenced him to 12 months on probation.

Shalanda D. Smith

, 26, of Lansford, was charged by Coaldale police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Feb. 22.

Goodman sentenced her to 12 months on probation. The marijuana charge was dropped.

Jason L. Krug

, 34, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with giving false identification to a law enforcement officer, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct on March 30.

Baldwin sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The conduct charge was dropped.

John S. Murphy

, 42, of Lansford, was charged by Coaldale police with possession of drug paraphernalia on May 19.

Baldwin sentenced him to 12 months on probation.

Monica L. Walck

, 30, of Tremont, was charged by Rush Township police with use/possession of drug paraphernalia on March 18, 2017.

Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months on probation.

James L. Maranki

, 55, of Northampton, was charged by Kline Township police with two counts of harassment and one of disorderly conduct on March 30, 2017.

Baldwin sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The conduct charge and one charge of harassment were dropped.

Jose Gutierrez Velazquez

, 39, of Hazleton, was charged by McAdoo police with possession of marijuana, no rear lights, and drug paraphernalia on March 17.

Goodman sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The marijuana and lights charges were dropped.

Tihanne R. Wright

, 27, of Lansford, was charged by Tamaqua police with two counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of marijuana on April 23.

Goodman sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The marijuana and one count of manufacture or delivery charges were dropped.

Michael Gazo

, 47, of Albrightsville, was charged by Tamaqua police with criminal trespass and defiant trespass on April 24.

Goodman sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The criminal trespass charge was dropped.

Tiffany Kervick

, 36, of Bristol, Bucks County, was charged by Kline Township police with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, promoting prostitution, and criminal use of a communication facility on June 2, 2017.

Goodman sentenced her to 12 months on probation. The paraphernalia and prostitution charges were dropped.

Justin R. Moyer

, 32, of Coaldale, was charged by borough police with possession of drug paraphernalia on April 26.

Goodman sentenced him to 12 months on probation.
