Northwestern honoring 1995 football team on Thursday

In addition to debuting its new artificial turf field on Thursday night, Northwestern will also be taking time to recognize and honor the 1995 football team. The team will be honored prior to kickoff (approximately 6:35 p.m.).

Under the guidance of head coach Bob Mitchell, the ‘95 Tiger team was the first in program history to win a Colonial League title, a District 11 title, and qualify for the state playoffs.

The tribute to the 1995 team coincides with the remembrance of Brett Snyder. Brett, who lost a long battle with ALS this past spring, was the leader of the 1995 team. Brett broke every single rushing record in school history and earned all-state honors. He followed that up with a stellar career at Lehigh University.
