A Luzerne County driver is facing charges in Monroe County.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed at 7:52 p.m. May 13 along Route 115 at the Keswick Pointe Development. A traffic stop was made and the driver said he had no identification on him.Police said he then initially provided a false name, but through an investigation, it was learned that his real name was Daryl Gevatis Smith, 46, of Larksville.It was further learned that Smith's license was under suspension. As a result, Smith was charged with false ID to law enforcement, driving under suspension and driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
