State police at the Lehighton barracks have reported on the following incidents.• Police are investigating an incident in which someone tried to open a Blue Ridge Communications account in the name of a Polk Township woman.The 54-year-old woman, who lives along Valley Road East, reported that someone attempted to establish another account with the communications company by using her account. The victim was immediately notified of the fraudulent activity, police said. There are no suspects.• Police said someone electronically obtained the bank account information of two elderly Jim Thorpe brothers,and at some point changed the address on the checks to an address in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and performed fraudulent actions. The investigation is continuing.• A resident of Main Street in Parryville reported someone removed various properties from her residence. The incident occurred sometime between May 10 and Tuesday.• A man from Blakeslee reported he was driving north on Robinhood Drive in Kunkletown, Polk Township,when the front driver side window was smashed with an unknown object. The incident occurred about 11:40 p.m. on Aug. 9.• A resident from Plum Drive in Polk Township reported someone smashed the window on her home. The investigation also revealed that someone had thrown two dozen eggs at her house and ball bearings at her windows, causing them to break. The incident was reported around 1 p.m. Tuesday.• Troopers said at 5:18 a.m. Monday, a 57-year-old womanand a 20-year-old woman, both ofFloyd Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, got into a verbal argument which turned physical.During the physical part of the incidentthe one woman punchedthe other in the mouth causing a small laceration to her lip.That woman then pushedthe other woman away, causingher to fall and hit the back of her head on a small table, which caused a small lacerationon her head. Both were issued citations for harassment.• On Sunday at 12:56 a.m. ata home on Carney Road, in Polk Township, a 33-year-old woman from Kresgeville and a 48-year-old man from Kunkletown, were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when both engaged in contact with each other. Both were issued citations for harassment. Police declined to release the names of the two involved.Anyone with information concerning incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
