State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents.

• Police said they plan to file possession of a controlled substance charges against a 28-year-old man from Nazareth, who was found to be in possession of the drugs at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 10 along Kunkletown Road in Eldred Township.• Police are investigating a Ross Township burglary that was reported to them at 3:10 p.m. Aug. 9. The victim, a 43-year-old woman who resides on Michael Street in the township, reported that someone gained access to her home through a side door while she was at work. The intruder stole several items of jewelry and a collection of coins.• Police are investigating a simple assault case that happened at 5:43 p.m. Aug. 8 ata resident on Hawthorn Lane in Polk Township. The victim is a man from Kunkletown who reported a male juvenile, also from Kunkletown, struck him with a broom stick.• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 4 p.m. Aug. 8 and 3 p.m. Aug. 9 along Burger Hollow Road in Polk Township. The victim is a 55-year-old woman from the township who reported that someone damaged her mailbox. There are no suspects.• Police are investigating the theft by a bicycle in Polk Township that happened between Aug. 14-17 in the 100 block of Willow Creek Drive. The victim is a 37-year-old Kunkletown man. Police said someone took his bicycle and disposed of it in a nearby lake.• State police are investigating an attempted burglary at a property onInterchange Road in Polk Township. The suspects caused damage to the rear door of the structure. The incident was reported at 4:11 p.m. Thursday.• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 2 p.m. Aug. 17 and 12:50 p.m. Aug. 18 when someone fired a pellet gun at a residence located in the 1600 block of Sugar Lane in the El-Do Lakes development in Kunkletown, Polk Township. The 61-year-old victim reported that two windows in his home were damaged by the shooting.• A mailbox was struck and damaged in a criminal mischief incident that happened between 9 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 1200 block of Princess Run Road in Ross Township. The victim is a 61-year-old man from Saylorsburg.
