Lehighton state police
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents.
• Two people were cited for harassment after they were called to an incident in Weissport at 9 p.m. Sept. 2. Police said the men, aged 40 and 31, physically harassed each other following a verbal dispute.• A 39-year-old Polk Township man was cited for harassment after state police were called to a residence aton Interchange Road in Polk Township for a disturbance at 11:58 a.m. Sept. 1. Police said it is alleged he harassed a 34-year-old Polk Township woman at their common residence.• A 45-year-old Towamensing Township man will face harassment charges as a result of an incident that happened at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 31 along Summer Mountain Road in the township. State police said the victim is a 43-year-old woman from Towamensing. Police said it is alleged that during a verbal argument between the two, the man pushed the woman.• Two Allentown residents were cited for harassment when state police were summoned to a dispute at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 28 along Riverview Park in East Penn Township. Police said the defendants include a 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman who were involved in a domestic disturbance that turned into a physical altercation. During the fracas, police said, a 12-year-old boy became involved in the altercation and became a victim.• State police were called to a Ross Township residence at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 22 when a man violated a Protection From Abuse order that had been issued against him in Monroe County Court. Police said the 52-year-old man was located outside the residenceon Upper Smith Gap Road after his wife called 911 to report her husband had violated the order by showing up there. Police said he was taken into custody, arrested and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.• State police said a 33-year-old Jim Thorpe woman was arrested on simple assault charges after an incident at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 100 Block of Mountain View Drive in Penn Forest Township. Police said the woman was taken into custody, charged and arraigned after a verbal argument turned physical. The victim is a 48-year-old man from Jim Thorpe.
