Thomas Sanders, 42, of Coaldale, was taken into custody by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 9 a.m. Tuesday for allegedly violating a Protection From Abuse order issued against him in the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas.

Police said the victim is a woman from Jim Thorpe.

The incident happened on Broad Mountain View Drive in Penn Forest Township, when Sanders was trying to contact his ex-girlfriend through text messaging and Facebook.
